Brill!! 😀 We had a hedge of escallonia in the front garden but about 10 years ago we had really bad snow (2 years on the run) & it was killed off!! Such a shame cos it was lovely when it flowered 💕

@anges Oh no that's such a shame. I bet you were upset about that. I was so upset just losing a poppy to this rubbish weather. If it carries on I'm going to try digging up the next and last Princess Vic Louise. It was the 1st flowering too but the weather ruined it 😣💕💕

Yes I was really disappointed, it's frustrating when you've been looking forward to something flowering and then the weather wipes them out! Usually happens to my Peony - you can guarantee the weather will finish them off! I like the look of Peonies but prefer Roses - they're a bit tougher 😁

@anges And that's one of the shrubs I'm after!! A Peony 😊😊I would've thought they were tough. There's an amazing one along the road where I live. Huge red blooms!😃❤❤I hope it's alright

The Peony flowers like mad and I love it but they don't stand up to wind n rain 😣

@anges They're no good for our weather. Mind you it's not always wet like this in June. My neighbour reminded me how nice it was last year. I'd forgotten 😊
