@joanboston morning :) he’s called Roo because when I collected him he had a blue jumper on and looked like Roo the kangaroo from Winnie the Pooh :)

Not sure if I dare pinch out my sweet peas yet and I I should keep indoors or if I need to let them be a bit cold to get s bit hardy #sweet-peas #advice-sweetpea

Yes definitely pinch them out as they have got a little leggy, and it will encourage side shoots

I've read on here advice to put them in a slightly colder room so they grow steadily without growing too leggy.

I agree, they need to be somewhere cooler and pinch out when you have 3 or 4 sets of leaves. 👍👍

The last attempt at sweet peas was a complete disaster as I covered them with a black bin liner instead of glass , hopefully these will turn out better 20.02.18 #sweet-peas

I think it’s fair to say my sweet peas are not quite right?! Is there any bringing these back?! They are very leggy and limp #sweet-peas #fail

Sweet peas need a lot of depth for their roots, I would imagine that basket is too shallow for them. Can you get them in deep pots, it may improve their chances, also give them some support Jane. Take the growing tip out when they are over four inches tall. Hope this helps. 🤔🤔🤔

Thankyou @pelly very helpful accept I don’t know what you mean when you say take the growing tip out? They were in seed trays until today, I’ll move over to a taller pot and see what happens Thankyou Jane x

Pinch the top pair of leaves out. It encourages them to bush out more Jane, and you are more than welcome. 😊😊😊
