I have been super sad about my Squash plant. This was my biggest, most productive Squash plant. It just randomly shut down on me. Any thoughts of why? Maybe I didn't weed enough around it?

Being that other plants around it are healthy, you might have an underground insect problem.

Hmm. I never thought of that! Thanks for your comment! @maldavis

could've been a squash vine borer, that's what happened to my best grower! there was a giant grub munching from the inside of the main stalk. so sorry for your poor plant!

It's also slightly possible that it was overcrowded. As I'm sure you know, squash plants are like "creepers" like a vine along the ground. If they don't have enough room to spread out, they will quickly die. Same thing happened to me my first time.
