#honeysuckle flower just starting to appear, but the plant is losing leaves near its base...is this ok?

It should be okay. It will just be turning into old wood (a honeysuckle thing) just make sure it gets plenty of daylight and it will be fine.

@ellenmarygardening The honeysuckle is in! Thought you'd like to see. Should we take the canes out, do you think?

I'd put some trellis up that wall. Honeysuckle likes to climb quite a good height. 😀

Awesome! Love it. I can almost smell the flowers already 😉 I would loosen the canes at the top where they are tied together but leave them in whilst you get a little trellis on the wall for the plant to grow up...or something similar for it to climb up, then take out the canes 👍🏻

Thanks both! Yep I've got some galvanised wire and vine eyes ready to go in. Can't wait to see this baby climb!
