@mzambz I've had mine in the same sort of pot for 3 years, in the bathroom, very little #water #afternoon sun, I let the #flower and #stem die completely, leave 2 cm of stem, repotting in bark is my next step too. I was sent links to information from @teamgardentags and others in this great group

@mzambz it's still in the original pot it came in, probably the same as yours, best to starve it of water or it will #rot, the #roots need to breath, that's why they say to replant in bark chips, I only water when I remember, I run it under the tap let all the water drain and sit it in a pot similar to the white one you have in the pic, hope this helps you

@justmeonlyme thanks so much very helpful! I have the special orchid potting mix ready so will give it a go this weekend. I've only been watering her a tiny bit every Saturday during summer :)

Broke my phone :'( and had to dig out :-D my old one so sorry for the crap photo! Finally all the flowers have fallen off my orchid!!!! Been waiting since I got her last October.. so now I need your help peeps! I have the special orchid soil and I know I need to cut the stem back to the base ? Do I need to repot her in a big pot or can she go into the one she came with? I'll post another pic now to show her size from the base and the pot... Definitely repot her from the original pot that will be beneficial ...phalaennopsis usually don't flower on older spikes so you can cut it back ✂️ its better for the plant too 🌱
