Love it. I tried but thought it got too humid here for them.

@rosegardengirl this is in the viticella group and may take some humidity and heat. Where are you situated?

Have tried we real times to grow clematis unsuccessfully.

@rosegardengirl I'm in Sydney and only the viticella type clematis will grow successfully here, this is one of them.

Have tried to grow Clematis here but unfortunately too hot. That one is beautiful.

@rosegardengirl where abouts are you because in the right spot this thrives for me in Sydney. It's a viticella type that handles the heat

Port Macquarie mid north coast.

I reckon it's worth a try. Look for the viticella group clematis and keep their roots cool and shaded and their head in the sun. 😊

I have no idea as I just moved in last year, @nej . Inherited the garden and still learning about the plants. I did put in some compost beginning of spring...

@lylrine clematis are hungry plants and they like their heads in the sun and feet in the shade and lots of moisture 😊

@brightcolours @latebloomer thank you it is a nice one. For years I always thought that you couldn't grow clematis in Sydney until I found out about the viticella group and this one has been successful for me so far but I wish that I could grow the Jackmannii hybrids but sadly they are not for my climate

@latebloomer I've had many plant tragedies. But trial and error is how you learn. Perseverance helped me keep my passion.

That's what I love about gardening I never stop learning. And today I've learned that you're a wise lady
