My #nasturtium leaves are massive this year. Finding a creative way to use them. Made a fusion version of beef and lemongrass wrapped in betel leaves (bò nướng lá lốt). Turned out quite nice. #VietnameseFood #DomsAbode #UrbanHomesteader #niching #domcooks

@sushiwaitress oddly enough, they are happy growing amazingly big in the shade 🥰

This was my “troubled” bed and look at how fantastic the #nasturtium leaves are getting. Thinking of a wrap of some kind for dinner next week. Yum

How do you cook with these?

@crabby58 I like the flowers (wash off the ants) with my soup and instant ramen on those days that I’m lazy to cook. The seeds makes a great poor man’s capers. Being Vietnamese, we use the bigger leaves in lieu of rice paper and make “spring rolls”. The leaves makes fantastic wraps in lieu of cabbage. And the stems, leaves and seeds can be blended with garlic, oil, etc., to make a pesto sauce. I’ve been working on my website but it’s a slow learning process. I did post a recipe a while back.

@crabby58 let me know what you think and if I should do something different with the pesto. Love to learn new ways to make harvest to table dishes. 😊

Thank you😊 @niching I love the fact that they are edible, can't wait to give these a try. I have just started some Nasturtiums inside and want to plant them outside once no danger of frost👍this is my 1st time growing these and look forward to having them come back every year. Such beautiful flowers. Thank you for the recipes, I saved the web page for when I have enough plants to harvest. Love the fact they are beneficial in other ways also💚
