They seem to be doing well. I fertilized them and wow they’ve shot up since last week when I posted an update.

@cyndi I am in the middle of making trays of toilet paper roll seed starter “pots” that should be biodegradable. I found and old plastic soda tray and the rolls fit perfectly in there. I just pinched the bottoms closed and have to fill them which should be easy to do all at once thanks to the soda tray. I have already dug, lined, and filled beds that are waiting for them! (: I will be planting some directly in the beds though.

I started my seeds in t.p. pots that I made last year. It went quite well.

@kimguy were you able to plant the rolls and everything or did you remove the rolls first?

You can plan t the entire roll. Usually by the time you are ready to plant them the rolls are getting fragile anyway. Just dig a hole and set them in the ground. See my garden feed Spring 2018. I have a photo.

Bachelor buttons going crazy. Should I pull some out?

Maybe a few... but not many... I believe they grow tall... mine did. So I don't think they'd be too terribly crowded.... would probably make a very full pretty container! 💙

I left mine packed once they started to go over I cut them all back by half and they all reflowerered

These are blue bachelor buttons but I don’t think they are the same listed in the encyclopedia.
