#advice This plant appeared in my front border for the first time! #pink flowers on strawberries is a new one on me. I am guessing at # #ananassa #Gasana

There are strawberry varieties with pink flowers but I can't name them for you

Did not know you could get pink flowering strawberries! I know I'm a bit late but found this interesting article. It's a result of strawberry plants crossing with another plant. https://homeguides.sfgate.com/strawberry-varieties-pink-flowers-56296.html

Thanks @craigh7 the fruit on this plant are tiny so really only ornamental. My main strawberry fruits have been munched. Not snails! I think it is mice or similar 🐭 😡😡

Mice!? Wow. Amazed at that. We have mice round here but don't think they've had a go at our strawberries. We just planted our beer pots in with the strawberries the other day to help save our fruit. Need to check later and see if they're doing the trick!
