Morning everyone πββοΈ Iβm not sure whether the top flower is just hitching a ride or trying to devour the bottom one. Have a super day #snakes-head-fritillary #fritillaria-meleagris-snakeshead

I get enough of that with the b****y pigeons in the garden πππ @juliesgarden

A bit of a fuzzy pic, but my first one fully open this year ππ #fritillaria-meleagris-snakeshead #fuzzypicture #spring-bulbs #love-it 25/3/19

Love how they start out thin and spindly and then plump up nicely! π

They take their time though Ian, mind you, if I see a bud I expect it to be open the next day. I'm not impatient, honestly @bigemrg ππ

Hehe! I always like to think they're munching on the Daffodils as they seem to disappear as the Fritillaries get larger! π πππ

I'm the same @pelly no patience at all.

I hope so @telswirld ππ

Thanks Jane, I've a long way to go before I actually have much of a garden, so if not this year, maybe next year. Try and try again.

Canβt wait to see these, they are so beautiful. ππ

I thought that said snakes head fertility π€π

Oh er missus @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom ππ

Are you sure Jane? They look more like daffs. Iβll post a picture of mine...

Well I thought that Jacqueline, but my plant label says Fritillary so I just assumed this was them, maybe theyβve not come up yet and I have got daffs in this area. My defence is that Iβve never grown them from bulbs so I donβt know what Iβm looking for. ππ

I agree look like daffs Jane

Thanks Jayne, I realise that now, I think it was just wishful thinking. I've not grow them from bulbs before so I didn't know what I was looking for, and as they are planted in this area I just assumed they looked similar @jaynehynesburton ππ

Couldn't resist this one either πππ

I can see whyππππ

A favourite of mine Jane πππ

Well everybody else seemed to have them, and to be honest, being a newbie to gardening, I didn't know anything about them, but after seeing them over the last few weeks on here I just had to get one Susie @susieg πππ

It's definitely an eye catcher ππ

So beautiful Jane

π€ππ€ππ€ well I don't blame you Jane. GT is great for introducing people to new and lovely plants π

Just love them ππΌπ

One of my favourites πππβ€
Morning everyone. My #snakeshead-fritillary has decided to multiply this year. Normally I only get two or three flowers π
Love these π
Bonus π€
Me too π @juliesgarden
Absolutely π― @debs69
Love these, I now have 3, but they each only have 2 leaves so far.
Iβve sprinkled the seeds of mine in a few places and some are coming up! I love them
They seem to come along quickly once they start donβt they. Iβm not sure if two more of mine are slow or if Iβve lost them π€ @sieveheadsarah
How exciting. Iβve never collected mine before. Iβll have to do it this year Joan π₯° @joanboston
I really need to get some more Jane, a few years ago I planted about 30 in the lawn, not one of them grew, unlike the Nectaroscordum that do extremely well in my garden.
Oh what a shame but my nectaroscordum donβt do anywhere near as well as yours. Itβs all swings and roundabouts isnβt it π€·ββοΈ @sieveheadsarah
It certainly is Jane, itβd be very boring if we all grew exactly the same π€£
