I hope so Peter but I'm a bit nervous about acers because last year I had a tiny little one from Morrisons...it survived up until the last frost of the winter but that finished it off.... made me realise I should have put a fleece round it or something...fleeced that it wasn't very robust... ive still got so much to learn!
Do you just wrap the base of the stem and the whole pot or the whole of the tree also Peter? And when would you do it? Mine has already dropped most of its leaves.
@belindah cut the bubble wrap to size then lay It on the ground. Lay the pot on the bubble wrap and roll it round. Attach with sticky tape. Leave enough b/wrap at the top to go over the lip of the pot but don't cover all the compost. Do the same at the bottom of the pot but don't cover the drainage holes. The stem of the plant does not need to be covered it's the roots that need to be protected. Hope this helps Belinda, good luck.
Acer at it's most colourful today.
Wow that's beautiful 😍
@lovemygarden65 leaves starting to drop now, but it is looking good at the moment.
They display the most wonderful autumnal reds! Beautiful!
That's stunning Peter! I hope my little acer will look as good as yours one day!
@belindah I am sure it will Belindah. They are so hardy and easy to look after. 👍

Realised not fleeced! Blimmin autocorrect!
@belindah I wrap all my plants in pots, in bubblewrap. It has worked well for me. 👍
