Finally worked out what this plant is today! It's been bugging me for 3 years! It's bloomed like mad this year after it's severe haircut last year. And it makes our garden smell lovely :-)

This is still unidentified. It's had a big haircut this year as it was getting in danger of being too tall to trim at all. It looks like a severe trim but it's got a lot of new shoots coming through (Jul-2018)

It kinda looks like a fruit tree due to its 'trained' shape, but other than that I've no idea. @piggynugget
