Since my last post I’ve been a bit sad because unfortunately I’ve been battling the sun and the sun is winning. Many of my plants are dying and there is nothing I can do about it because I can’t bring them inside and am not allowed to hang anything on the balcony to create shade. One of the plants that I have been allowed to bring inside is doing okay. My Moss Rose has been flowering lots lately. That has been a joy to see! Hopefully my other plants will survive these next few months. #wa #Jan

Are you allowed patio furniture. Table & chairs will create a lot of shade. Even more with table cloth & cushions on chairs

@cyndi unfortunately I do not have the budget for one of those at the moment, but have taken @moore.794 ‘s advice and rearranged the balcony a bit so that the plants are more shaded, by both the shelving and the table setting. I think it’s going to be better, but time will tell.

Looks like a Portulaca to me. It’s a very lovely flower!

It is Portulaca, aka Moss Rose.
