Traded a few stakes for a cage. Maybe the growth with be more full now. I keep removing leaves/ pinching #leafminers off. I haven’t found a method that keeps them away. Anyway, three Lima bean plants in this big old pot. My son’s teacher wasn’t even impressed. I circled the seedlings to give a clear view. I’m leaning the parent plant away. Seedling #1, yellow, was the first planted, and has had a rough start being nibbled on as soon as emerging. Since though is growing okay. Seedling #2, red, was planted with two others that didn’t sprout, and that was about 1-2 weeks after #1. And it has FLOURISHED!! This long vine came up overnight. @KelsiBriana I was always told these were slug trails! I crushed eggshells as it was mentioned to me slugs and snails hate crawling over them. But i did not know it was because of an internal pest. I will look into this, thank you!

My son grew a Lima bean from a seed in school, and it has turned into this beauty!! We took all the pods off to sow the new seeds too since the plant itself is just one plant. It looks big, but the leaves are just bushy. You can see two seedlings at the bottom!!
