Pieris jap. 'Mountain Fire'. Photographed today, 19 Oct 2016, at Reedie Cottage Garden, East Scotland. I don't usually see so many flower panicles at this point in the year - normally in Spring. Depending on weather over next wk or 2, I might have flowers, before they get frozen off. Love the new foliage growth in Spring - bright red, turning bronze, then green - with panicles of white flowers. This Pieris is not a huge shrub, so great mid-border plant. #pieris #autumngarden
