@titchyfra It certainly is. It is a splash of gold in the garden. I have it as a specimen on its own, so it stands out....not that it needs to, as it does so all by itself! It comes in colours ranging from white to yellow to pink and red. A friend has a huge red form, and it looks amazing when in flower - almost like it's on fire!!! Worth investing in 1 or 3!!! 😇 Scent, esp on yellow form, is very sweet & heady, so an added bonus! 😀

Rhododendron luteum (yellow). Only now starting to bloom. Also have a red form, but altho starting to bud up, nowhere nearly as ready as this one! Photo taken yesterday, 16 May 2016.
