"Percy Wiseman" Love how the buds open a bright pink, and gradually fade to a pinkish white, the longer the blooms flower for. This was a rescue plant, back in 2005, and needed a lot of tlc to get it back in shape and performance. Hasn't let me down since. One of my favourite Rhododendron 😀

Finally, the big buds have started opening on mine! Hurray!!! Give it a week and it will be covered in blooms! 😀 Things usually happen a bit later here, than plants the further south you go in UK. Love this Rhododendron! 😀👍😀

Close up of a flower cluster waiting to burst open on my Rhododendron 'Percy Wiseman'. Starts off such a deep, and eventually ends up almost white with a pink tinge.

Rhododendron 'Percy Wiseman'

My wife and I rescued this shrub from an elderly neighbour of her father's. It had been overgrown by another shrub and could hardly see the light of day! After a lot of careful pruning and some licing, tender care, we have been rewarded with a lovely shapes shrub that now gives a profuse amount of flowers, year on year

That should say "some loving, tender care"! 😀
