Sorbaria sorbifolia 'Sem' (False Spirea). Photographed today, 2 April 2017, at Reedie Cottage Garden, East Scotland. I love this plant!!! I love the colours in Spring and in Autumn. The spray of flowers in Summer is ok, but it the foliage that makes it worth having this shrub. #sorbaria #sem #colourfulfoliage

Sorbaria sorbifolia 'Sem'. Photographed yesterday, 3 June 2017, at Reedie Cottage Gardens, East Scotland. Also know as "False Spireae". Eye catching shrub, with striking multi-coloured, soft fern like foliage. Colours range from yellows, greens to bronze reds and oranges of new growth. From mid-Summer feathery white flowers heads emerge. Foliage turns vibrant red in Autumn. #sorbaria #sem #falsespireae #multicolouredfoliage #whiteflowers #vibrantred #reediecottagegarden
It is lovely only mine send to be attacked by late frost every year which kills the new shoots! Can't wait for it to get to full size!
