Athyrium niponicum pictum 'Godzilla'

I’ve been looking for quite awhile for a Japanese Painted fern and finally found one but....this will be interesting with a variety name of ‘Godzilla’ and descriptive words on the label of “Giant” and “massive”! 😳 oh well, it’s a shady corner I’m trying to plant up and I’m intrigued by this plant....gulp.

I love the silvery leaves of these ferns

I do too. Mine is so tiny I almost lost it last year, so could have done with Godzilla 🦍

They had this at #harrogatespringflowershow2018 and remembered this post. The stall holder assured me it would grow in complete shade and reach about 1m, so I brought it home 😍

Hope it’s good crazy. The show was lovely but it’s on the County Show Grounds so I didn’t get to see much of Harrogate itself, other than through the car window 😉

Hope today is a bit calmer then Elisa! The show was good, bought too many plants 🙄 still trying to shoehorn them in somewhere 😂 and it was lovely meeting up with Jacqueline and the others. Always guaranteed a laugh and a good time. I actually went into Harrogate this time...lovely old spa town, lots of nice architecture (my second love!)
