Hey everyone 👋🏼, just checking in to say hi. Away on a break but admiring lots of tropical plants that I can only wish to grow back home in the UK. This is Bismarckia nobilis - the Bismarck Palm - a beautiful silvery leafed palm tree which is just stunning. It's stunning @jeanbean56 - I think they get much bigger than this too, so it should look an even finer specimen in a few years 👍🏼😀

@ukgardentags @teamgardentags - Hi 😀👋🏼 - any chance you update the common name for this plant to ‘Bismarck Palm’? It already has a Latin name (which is fine) but it’s missing a common name 👍🏼

We have other species of that here in TX. I haven’t seen many that color we have a lot of “fan Tail” palms. Very green and they do get very y’all. Very pretty picture! Hope your having a wonderful time

Thanks @terrimclaughlin , had the best time 😊 - i was just amazed by the colour, and I really really wish we had the right conditions in the Uk to grow them but alas I think I would need a very large greenhouse! I’ve certainly become more interested in palms generally as a result, so will check out the Fan Tail Palms too 😬👍🏼
