I grew this trumpet vine from seed almost twenty years ago and I've neglected it terribly - it's always been in a pot and it's never performed well at all. Last autumn I decided i will give it one more year to convince me, and I've planted it in the ground at the base of my Laburnum tree for it to grow up and scramble through. Pleased to report there are more buds on it right now than I have ever seen on it before so I'm really excited to see how it will develop this year 🤓 #newgrowth

That's great, look forward to it in full bloom. So the "right plant, right place" is so true! I've had sambucus Nigra for 10ish years, I moved it to new area last spring and it's put on more growth than in previous decade!!

I think yours will have more nut 🌰 power than mine at the moment. It barely survived winter, so I reckon I'll be lucky to see it flower this year. I better get feeding it! 😀
