It's forming roots on the stems 😳. Probably due to lack of watering recently. Think I'll take a cutting, I presume I can just cut it below where they are sprouting from?
Got to be worth a try!
Don't see why not
Seems like the right thing to do Rich 😊 🤔
✂️ I think I have to let the stem dry for a couple of days too before potting up? 🤔 @mojo @kathy @joanboston @succulentandfriends

www.gardeningknowhow.com/houseplants/jade-plant/propagating-jade-plants.htm You are right Rich just looked it up, but says you need to dry out stem for a week or so before potting on. I've Learnt something today 👍
Excellent Mo, and thanks - I'll have a quick read of it now 🤓 @mojo
These seem to die on me 😢😢
👍 they live forever !
Oh Pearl 😱 @fuschia - I think the key is neglect, as I don't seem to do much for it at all. Just need a bright room, and don't over water.

I was reminded recently that I've never posted any of my house plants. This is our Money Plant (or otherwise called Jade Plant), which I think has now got to be almost 30 years old. Starting to look a bit straggly, so will probably give it a light prune before it goes outdoors for the summer.
What do you think @succulentandfriends ? It's getting big and very heavy to lift.
#houseplant
Looks great.
Lovely plant !!! :)
And someone told me money don't grow on trees 😜
@ania 😂
Thanks Ann 😊 @Nettle
Cheers 👍🏼 @Garyg
Last one, as I've run out of indoor plants! This is our Jade Tree, almost 30 years old. It's got to quite a size now and very, very heavy 💪🏼👊🏼😳, a little elongated right now but hopefully it will look a bit better come summer when the sun returns and it goes back to the brighter living room #houseplant #crassula #crassula-ovata #moneyplant #succulent
Has yours ever flowered ?? @richard.spicer.7906 my mum had one for years and it never flowered neither has mine wondering if I'm doing something wrong 🤔🤔
Yes, at our last house it was in a much sunnier position and it flowered every year. I don't think it's liked the newer house we moved to and it's been in shunted around a bit. But hoping to give it some outdoor time this year for a few weeks, should help give it a bit of colour. Maybe it will then have a few flowers next spring? @raregold71
Forgot to mention that I think it has to get to a certain size before flowering 🤔 @raregold71
@richard.spicer.7906 , do you prune it?
#crassulaovata #crassulaovata-advice
Mostly neglect Lin 😂 , but I do make sure I water it as often as it needs it (the leaves go limp when it's thirsty) and try to find a bright sunny position, but not overly hot as it can scorch the plant. @linfoster
I have pruned it once a few years back - looked terribly leggy and bit the bullet. Looked a little bare for a while but it soon got new shoots on it. I just took the tips of so I did leave it with some leaves as didn't want to risk it dying on me. 👍🏼 @emve
Very interesting 👍
