Just a simple Helleborus niger, the parent plant of many different types of hellebore hybrids available today. I’ve had it in a pot for a while, but it started to lag and so last summer I planted it in the ground and it’s just now starting to be happy #hellebore #christmasrose #helleborus #helleborusniger #helleborus-niger

It’s great Chris, just a tiny hint of pink blush on the outside of the petals but it’s just nice to have a simple one I think 🤍 @vegandmore

Oh that’s good to know Elise. I’ve only got one permanently in a pot but that’s only because it’s slightly tender so I have to move it regularly- but it’s never been as vigorous as the others. @Auricula

Thanks Deb 😊 just need a few more leaves to come up this year, I think the hot weather last year set it back a bit @debs69

Thanks Joan - strangely I’ve heard a number of people say they have struggled with this one, maybe it’s not a fan of some wet conditions. Touch wood it’s coping well with my hertfordshire winter 🤞🏼 @joanboston
