I found this young shoot growing out of one of my pots of Pulmonaria - it's definitely not that, but possibly a stray seed ended up in the pot at the nursery and has germinated. I think it might be Impatiens balfourii - has anyone ever heard of this or experience with it? It seems to resemble a type of Impatiens. I'm debating whether to keep it and plant it out in the garden, although if the ID is correct then I'm not sure it's that hardy 🤔 #plantid

@richard.spicer.7906 Yep, Balfours Touch Me Not. I've seen it in clients gardens and always looks very daintily pretty. You can get seeds online too so I'd keep it, but I seem to recall it's an annual so try collecting some seeds 😊😊

Ah excellent - thanks guys 👍🏼, and yes Mike I'll try and see if I can get some seed saved from it and maybe sow them next year in a better spot 😁 @justin @mikethegardener

I agree it's Impatiens balfourii. Don't let the seeds dry out or they will not germinate!
