24/05/19 - Ive not been able to master semi-ripe cuttings until quite recently, although to be fair I think some of the ones I’ve got root like weeds so be hard to fail 😂😂 but let’s still call it a success 👍🏼 and practice makes perfect as they say. I’m not sure this lemon balm was as variegated as the database pic when I took some, it was more a lovely golden colour but it was lush fresh growth. Guess it depends where you grow it. These have rooted and potted on after a month
Originally used 50/50 peat and perlite to root, with a bit of rooting hormone, and now transplanted to my potting mix of 66.6/33.3 compost/perlite till they get a bit bigger. Keeping the airy mixture for a while longer to get them established but giving a bit of nutrients at the same time now that they have rooted
