I pruned this bush last year, although late summer. Ideally this plant should be pruned just after pruning as it flowers on previous years growth. As it was large, I will give it a second prune this year later in June or July after flowering again. 🤓

It doesn't seemed to have harmed it at all, I admit to doing things when I see them Percy Thrower would have had a fit😂
You're right @kathy sometimes we have to do things at different times to fit into our busy times. The only risk I have with this that I may have pruned too late last year so will just miss flowers for a year. It def needed pruning though 👍🏼

More recent photo, flowers all gone now. 😞But, now is the perfect time to start thinking about pruning! 😁

Another late photo. Amazing scented flowers, especially in late evening.

It's still alive so that's good! #newgrowth
Everything is certainly springing into life now. Although the more extreme differences in day/night is pummelling some more sensitive plants like some fuchsias.
Nothing nicer than seeing 'buds' anywhere in the garden !!😃
Been in the garden today and plants are coming alive all over the place
Yes, agree Jack - no signs of life yet in the fuchsias. It will come though 😊 @wallington
I'm sure it will come soon Lin, and then you won't be able to stop it 😀 @linfoster
Couldn't agree more Ann 😊 @Nettle
