This rose is called the Ballantyne rose (only by me and my family) because in my childhood home in Ballantyne Road, this grew all over the back fence and shed. I took a cutting when I moved out in 1975 and have taken cuttings everytime I have moved since, at least 6 times #plantstory

This lovely rose is climbing on the wall of the cottage we are staying in. Don't know what it is called, has a nice subtle fragrance and really pretty tight rosebuds which open fully when they start to go over. I have permission to take a cutting 💕
