I have bit the bullet and put my Brugmansias out. My cuttings didn't make it this year so I shall try again. Ignore the HUGE Spurge!

Are they all scented? I came across a huge yellow flowered one on holiday a few years ago & it smelt incredible 👌💛👍

Yes but only in the evening and then they fill the garden. @jeatacake

It is a very deep and heady scent.

That's how I remember it, almost intoxicating. These plants have been my nemesis. I bought one some years ago, but it died in the winter (in the house) & all attempts to grow them by seed have been unsuccessful 😑

I have never tried them from seed. I cut them all back in November and place the cuttings in a vase with water, they start to root within two days. @jeatacake

My Brugmansias have been very slow to flower this year, not sure why. This is the first flower on one of them, late September! It may struggle to bloom. Hoping for a better show next year.

My very very late first flower of the year is just opening 😍

My brugs have struggled to flower this year. They were late last year but seem even later this year. Happy to say they are finally flowering!

How did you overwinter yours Sara @sara2309

I cut them back and move them indoors. I have a through kitchen dinning room and they live in there. @drnicko is the main man for Brugs @londongardener

Thanks @sara2309! I got a brugie first time this year. It's flowering really well I feed it at least once a week. Never overwintered one so curious how different methods have worked for people

I root the cuttings in water over winter for new plants for friends or myself. @londongardener

The Brugmansia has come out finally. And is very happy. I have a dozen smaller plants ready to be potted up who are also loving this warm weather.
