Hemerocallis fulva

I'm beginning to think this isn't a banana plant after all... is this normal? Am I growing a weed/unidentified plant? 8 Apr 2021

@sushiwaitress maybe whatever it is will flower is it growing off a bulb or is it a root i hv 9 banana trees and they hv never come up like this i see u hv taken care of this mystery plant i hope u find out what it is ❤😊 its cool looking

@hannahchristine my neighbor dug this up for me last fall when he was bringing his banana plant in for the winter. I left it in the garage with my fig trees but it might have frozen and died. I haven't dug down yet to see if it's a root or bulb.

Awesome! I love banana trees so much they give you tropical vibes and grow super fast I like how frogs like to hide in mine

My next door neighbor dug up a chunk of his #banana plant for me last fall and plopped it into a pot that has been sitting in my garage since November.
