The copy cats will get up to 10 yrs and the perpetrator 15. Btw not caught yet. Forensics still being done. My ex husband owns a strawberry farm on Sunshine Coast but not effected. Fortunately my local Coles is selling locally grown. Rich red, ripe and sweet. 15 years is not enough for these wierd individuals.

A friend with a young child was worried .. we suggested blitzing the fruit before feeding to her baby .. just listen for the metallic click. Seems copy cat offenders are playing with people's lives.

I am buying strawberries on principle to help the growers through this crisis - of course I slice them up before eating or giving them to my grandchildren and so far I have not come across any contaminated strawberries.

@high I failed to mention the sabotage was sewing needles found in strawberries 🍓 Then copy cats with bananas 🍌 and apples 🍎

@novicegardenlover it’s beyond me Susan. One good thing to come out of it is my ex’s farm has nation wide attention. They farm finger limes too.
