This is absolutely stunning at the moment! Was waiting for it to flower so that I can hack it back! Trouble is it hadn't stopped flowering all summer through to autumn! 😃
It's pretty.

This has flowered all summer, such a pity it is apparently so invasive!
Can u help me @SylviaDavies pls My daughter has a knot weed and has been told it will cost £1,300 to get rid of it as it will damage her home. It's a very contained bush though,it doesn't appear to be invasive I'm thinking she's been very misinformed ? Any info would be very appreciated !
Hi #avaethan I just came across your comment. A friend had a similar problem, your daughter wasn't misinformed. It is an extraordinarily persistent and resistant plant. It can make its way up through concrete. You can't put it into compost or green bins as it can spread from there. There is a lot about it online, It cost millions to clear the Olympic site in London before anything could be built there. I don't know if any organic way of getting rid of it, my friend, a gardener,
Hi there are different ones I think, but I'm no expert. I bought this from a national trust gardens and paid for it! Apparently the Japanese knotweed is different, as it is very invasive that's all I can tell you sorry! 😢
waited for the stems of the plant to be big enough to cut nearly all the way through but not quite. She mixed a little washing up liquid (to break down the cellulose) with concentrated Roundup (horrible I know) and syringed this into the hollow stems. It took a long time but she cleared it all this way. She burnt all of the dead plant. She said she wouldn't grow anything in the soil for three years checking for any new growth. If your daughter can afford it the £1,300 is probably worth paying as
It can affect the sale of the property and its mortgage potential. The house next door to me had it and the owner had it cleared. Good luck to your daughter.

Beautiful 👌🏼👒
It's spreading like wild fire 🔥! ! Like the flowers though! It's filling a hole nicely so long as it stops at the hole! @latebloomer
And has it stopped at just filling the hole?

Not sure about this yet! Can't believe I paid the nat trust for a rampant semi weed! Nice flower though!
It's a beautiful plant if you have the right spot for it and it generally needs to be a large spot!
Lol,one mans weed is another mans flower😄
It's taking over any space it can find @tiggrx

@SylviaDavies Hmm! With a name like that it sounds dangerous. Has it got relatives in Japan by any chance? 😉😂😂
Just noticed the fly!

Help me identify this plant, if you can ignore the invasion of wild flowers at the back, can you help me identify this please! It seems to like spreading!
It's a Persicaria, probably P. campanulata
Not sure, sorry @SylviaDavies but adding #plantid 😀
Ooops, didn't see the previous comment.
Thanks @tiggrx
Pretty wild flowers!
