I have these facing N S E W in shade and sun and all look the same, my soil is clay based so don't think they're fussy - just watch out as they send out lots of suckers ( hence free plants 😀) @Rosalynn
@Rosalynn I don't remember that being mentioned when I looked into these plants. I just cut off any suckers I don't want or make new plants for friends. I don't find this too much of a bind just bear in mind that this shrub Will send out suckers . If you don't fancy that try in a pot, can't see why not- grows to around 1.5 m tall , hope haven't put you off I think they really are lovely underrated shrubs
These three cuttings are coming nicely!
I have three cuttings too- love these, they seem tough and brighten the space!
Just bought this today!! Can't wait to see it grow. Any tips?
To be honest, I just plugges them inn fairly well drained soil late summer and mother nature did the rest! 😃 😃 😃
Lesson to self! Must check what I type before pressing send! ☺ ☺ ☺

Thanks @titchyfra good advice! Will keep an eye! Space not a problem so it's great if they grow quite big! I may even try more cuttings 😃 😃 😃
@titchyfra no you haven't put me off, just trying to learn how best to manage the plant.
It will go in my border but I'll keep a close eye on it
