@tara3104: without any doubt this is crown of thorns. If i temember it correctly the branches were used to make a round wreath/crown to put on Jesus Christ’s head. I have read somewhere that taking care of this plant is auspicious. It comes in beautiful dark pink also. I saw thick hedges of this plant in the Philippines. God bless you.
