#leeks from the garden centre, my #looroll growing didn't work too well.
#gyo 😊
Ha mine still look like chives!
The garden centre lady talked me into it, but I've no idea what variety they are or when they'll be ready! I have a new tray of seeds so I could end up with leeks coming out my ears... @Mikekally
I've always done well with sowing my leeks in March in a row in a spare corner of the veg patch. Lift them in July when they're about pencil thickness, trim the tops and plant them in holes. No need to backfill, just water them in well to settle them.
@tash74 would you say to lift them out of beds and replant in holes if they're already in? Mine were direct sow, but they're nowhere near pencil thickness yet. Wondering should I reset them in July?
@Mikekally Yes, worth a go. They'll be much thicker by July, like spring onions. I'm trying to find a good article online to post about it. Was taught this method by old allotment guts when I was a child.
Thanks for the #advice @tash74, will try that so. and sorry for crashing your thread, @Tara_H!!

Haha no worries @Mikekally it's great to soak up the knowledge!
@tash74 thanks for the tips, I should be flying by the time next year comes around! 😁
Final #harvest of last year's crops! #leeks #gyo
