Beautiful, but my nemesis of the plant world!
But why? @jeatacake its fabulous, reliable and funky leaves, and oh the colours through the petals, I love them
Had 2 as bought plants & both died. Tried to grow them from seed several times & nothing. I followed all the advice about what they like too 😔
Aw I will save lots of seeds @jeatacake
That's very kind you. Thank you 👍😊

First blue poppy, woop grown fae seed
Stunning....I’ve done some I hope they’re as nice as yours...
Fabulous..I can’t wait for mines! 🤗💙👌
These guys are in a pot with more mecs, the best thing for flowering is waiting 3years then letting them go for it. You can propogate from root cuttings like a dandelion tap root. Thanks @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom and @mich
Stunning, I lost mine unfortunately 💙💙
Oh 💙💙💙💙💙💙

Mec babies, special seed
Is that you're purple hair falling out 😳😳?
Love the hair colour but what's it doing in a plant pot?!
No not mine @pottybird42 the kids!
It's slug proofing @Soph1e and it works
Will have to remember that! It's a hell of a lot cheaper than wool pellets!
Wool I have that too @Soph1e bi tie round the pot. However the copper tape works, as does old wire, also eggsshels. All deter the slime monsters!
Hmm, have a prolifically shedding dog think that will work too?
For shure @ofthought I use cat brushings too, placed in amongst seedlings

Palest poppies, washed oot in the rain
Such a shame, it's a beautiful colour
They're stunning Aly..I just love them it's my favourite flower in the garden but they just don't last long enough do they..mind you may be that's why we treasure them so much when we've got them in bloom.. they're we can't do nothing about the rain thou 💦🙄💙
My collection is in various ages n stages, 2nd yr flowers, got some new seeds, can't find my stash,in a box somewhere, @mich I propagate by divisions too
Thank you @christineb
Hi Aly so are mine I got some last year but I got them at the start of the summer so they didn't flower but they really bushed out this year and I've got some I grew from seed this year..it took time but I got there, you'll come across them Aly 👍
It's a passion alpine plants, got homework mecs society's new book, I add grit to the tops @mich fir over winter 1st yr babies, cositted things
I love the alpine plants too Aly they're just beautiful, I might just do that too then if it's worked for you it will work here too but the ones I got last year came up ok..but it wasn't a bad winter there so it's probably best to protect them just incase we get a bad one 👍
You right..cosseted plants 🤗💙
Yeah winter drainage important as too wet winters will rot, @mich alpine anything as they're like me, hardy as!
Just a few drops, baby mec
