The first flower bud has opened on the Mezereon bush
Love the colour
Really like this
Fab colour!i bet it will look gorgeous when there all out!
Love Daphne lost mine years ago 😤
Beautiful colour 👍😍
@krishnahairdo they should be all out in Feb/Mar so this one's a little early!
@fuschia I lost one of my bushes this summer for no apparent reason. There are plenty of seedlings but unfortunately they tend to appear in awkward places - usually in the path!
That's always the way Aaron. However I am not ruthless enough to remove them then next thing I know it's too big to move ❗️❗️I have a plant growing next to my backdoor on the step. Lol. Will post a pic 😂😂
Oh dear tiggrx hope it flowers next feb/mar as well, very worrying all these early/late shows! 😱
The Mezereon flowers smell strongly of coconut on sunny days like today.

Beautiful!
Wow love this and bonus of it smelling if coconut too !!
I will have to look for this one. Not seen it before
Another plant that smell of coconut is Gorse. Yellow flower seen by motor ways
@pjwbushnell yes it smells very similar to gorse. The Mezereon is worth seeking out, I'm not sure why it's not more often grown than it is.
