Daphne 'mezereum'

Daphne Mezereon

Daphne shrubs rarely get taller than a four feet tall. they are slow growing and shouldn't need pruning. They bloom in winter to late spring and are evergreen in all but the coolest climates. They have a mounding form and thick leathery sword-shaped leaves. They are grown for their clusters of fragrant pink, yellow or white flowers. They tend to be short-lived plants. 'Mezereum' produces masses of intensely fragrant, beautiful pink/purple flowers in clusters which smother the upright, bare branches in late winter followed by attractive scarlet red berries.
