Hello Tina wanted to ask for some advice. I have a curly willow thats getting huge and currently is out growing its pot and space. I was thinking about planting it in my back yard. Didnt know if it was a good idea knowing it is a short lived tree. Any advice?

The consensus is 15-20 years but the good news is that they are so easy to prop u can always easily replace, on the other hand it's recommended to keep this tree at least 50 ft away from home or other important structures also water/sewer lines, septic tanks etc as roots are widespread and shallow and may cause damage, also likes a moister spot to thrive. I've had mine for years planted in the ground propped from a small single stem but since I'm in such a harsh climate mine grows back from the

I got mine from the grocery store as a decorative floral arrangement some years back and rooted him in some water. But this guy is getting too big and i would love to have a tree in the back. We lost our oaks in Harvey. But i have a few obstacles such as power lines, sewer drain and a cable box that supplies the cul-de-sacs cable. I think I can maneuver around all that. I really really appreciate all your help. Thank you Tina 🤗
