Symplocarpus foetidus

Found a patch of #skunkcabbage close to the house. It's exciting because it's my first time seeing his plant ever!! This is a pretty interesting plant with alot of character. It's the first thing to bloom in spring the flower is before the leaves and the flower makes it's own heat to get through the snow around and atop it. #aroid #arum #easternskunkcabbage #ephemeral #springephemeral if you've never heard of this look it up its pretty intersting!
