I can't work out what's wrong with my #fatsia, it looks sad 😞 it's leaves are drooping to the ground, hasn't put on any height in the last year. Leaves have yellowing and are "dimpled" in places. It's now hiding the underplanted heucheras and daffodils and I don't want this to affect them as they were doing really well. Fatsia flowered well. advice online says they're tough so can't work it out. It's in an east facing corner with a brick wall behind, has anyone had this #problem #advice please
Oh no Franca i wish i could help but i don't have much experience with these plants,i bought one a couple of months ago but up to now it seems to be doing ok,wonder what's doing this to yours, hope you find someone to help i know Susie @susieg has one and Geoff @driftwood and Hayley @hayleyaj has got one recently maybe they could help 😊
Thanks @daisy-jane
How strange @titchyfra they like it a bit damp an need feeding does that help?
It's natural for it to have leaf drop at this time of year as it sheds some older growth. They prefer to be in sheltered positions and in slightly shady spots. They don't like to be overwatered and this can cause yellowing of leaves too.
It is reasonably sheltered and hardly gets sun as misses morning sun too as shadowed by house here. We're on clay so naturally damp area too @justin @driftwood leaves have looked droopy since way before xmas. I fed mid Feb was hoping to have seen a difference by now - conditions were pretty much text book so it is weird but maybe just keep waiting a bit longer with everything crossed 🤞thank you both
I wonder if it's lonely ? They quite like being under a bit of a light canopy , I think regular watering and some seaweed feed might perk it up and as Justin says it is natural for them to look a little sad at this time of year, mine is in a relatively shady spot hardly any direct sun or open to sky and it does well 🤞it perks up 🙂
Try putting it in a pot for a while for some tlc. Mines in a pot and doing just fine. Added some fish blood and bone and it looks really happy. 😊 @titchyfra
Food for thought @icedance @hayleyaj thank you 😊
Oh! 😟 hope it perks up Franca 🤞🏼
Me too 😢
Hi Franca, mine looks like that from time to time. I think it's part of it's cycle, as @justin says. It's probably fine. 😉

Adding to my Plants, bear with me a few to add but this looks a little poorly, have given sulphate of iron, hoping it does the trick

Fatsia.
Afternoon #advice please, I asked at the beginning of the year as this fatsia didn't seem right. It doesn't seem to be getting bigger and it's in 3rd year. Top left shows growth pattern, is this normal as top growth is separated from existing leaves below. Leaves seem eaten and odd but healthy green atm. I found this under few of the small top leaves(see bottom left pic) could this be the cause of whatever is wrong with this??
Look like some sort of bug franca but im not good with friends or foes so not sure hun 🤔 sorry cant help 😃
I'm thinking the same and am putting 2+2 together @Keely but I'm not sure either , thanks tho 😊
Gross! No idea tho - close up of those bugs as can't really make them out 👓
