Help me identify this plant. This is Vögger. He belonged to my late uncle and is close to 40 years old. He’s got quite a bit of damage, maybe a couple of mites, and needs to be repotted; I’m hoping I can give him the love he needs. #cactus-id #cactus-help

Looks like a very sick Pilosocereus pachycladus... How often is it watered? Is it soft/squishy?
@littlemorningglory I just got it today. Was told it was “neglected” as my uncle was sick for quite a while. It is not squishy. The soil is very dry.
@twinstareffa Hmm if its not soft then Im not really sure what could be wrong with it... Personally I would cut of all the healthy growth and try rooting it them. Normally when a cactus develops brown/black areas it starts to spread and eventually will kill the cactus. That's just my opinion, others may have better advice☺
