I cut my trumpet back every year and I take cuttings and sell them locally for some extra pocket money. U guessed it, to buy more plants. #progagation
An old Chinese lady gave me a cutting 6 years or so, told me if u cut it below the "y" shape (shown in pic) then the plant will flower the same year. She was absolutely right. It does.
I’m trying to do the same with Begonias and Coleus
U have a very nice propagation station. @docthrill. These guys will set in a bucket of water until they take root. Very easy process.
Any chance you'd have any cuttings in the warmer spring to swap?
Yes of course @tinaaune I will put some aside for u. 😉
Omg! I was just throwing that out there, I'm so excited, always had these years ago but one year just decided not to save them over and couldn't find them locally again, any ideas of what I could send u let me know
Yeah of course. U have a wonderful collection of plants. I'm sure i can find something we can trade for @tinaaune. I was thinking about you the other day, my parachute plan is finally coming out of dormancy I'll have to post a pic I'm so excited.
Hey Mrs. @tinaaune my rooted cuttings are getting big would love to send ya one if ur ready for it
Oh boy I'm so excited, here is my email so we can figure it out there tinaaune90@gmail if u want to email me with your address so we can swap 😀 or give me your email vise versa 👉👈 yaaay! So excited!!
Hello @tinaaune i just sent u an email 📧
Emailed u back😊

Taken this morning (12-1-20). Does NOT like cold weather. 😨
This is South Florida's first cold day of the year & plants are not happy😠
Ours 2 (Texas) @cowdenkyle
😞😭 Do yours rebound in the spring? @txgardener
Oh yes @treefrog44 they do. In the fall I usually cut it almost down to the ground and take cuttings to root in the spring. I usually wrap the base with blankets and Christmas lights to keep it alive when we do have freezing temps. This year didn't get around to doing that. 😒 He's alive though, just gonna look like crap until I get a chance to clean him up.

#fragrantblooms #smellsamazing #trumpetflower. My only full round of blooms this year. But I'm not complaining.... Well maybe a little lol
Looks so healthy. 🌞
Thanks @sunlovin . I think I added too much nitrogen early spring It's next to my gardenia bush which was in need of some nitrogen. I think it delayed it some in producing flowers. But ur rights it's super healthy.
Thank you @gjones. I have a hard time smelling fragrance in flowers but I definitely smell these babies. And ur right they do smell amazing. ☺️
It’s gorgeous!! I just love these!💛💛💛
Thanks @cheriej I do too. One of my all time favs 😍
