Everything you grow is ahead of me. Lucky to get a longer bloom season. 🌞

Really? In Vegas? I was surprised to see all these babies bloom. Everything i had took such a hard hit in the freeze we had this year @sunlovin

@txgardener I’m in New York now so my garden is about a month behind you. My Daylily’s won’t start till mid June and bloom for a month. By end of August my flowers are pretty much done. Your Texas climate is warmer so I’m guessing they last longer. We have terrible late freezes here but yet flowers bloom beautifully. I’ve been reading sometimes they’re better the colder the winter. 🤔

@txgardener Daylilys are very cold hardy to zone 4 and some I believe are zone 3. The freezing temps wouldn’t bother them a bit. I’m zone 5 and our temps go to 10 below and the daylily’s are fine.

I do believe ur right @sunlovin. I have so many blooms popping up. One of the best seasons ive had so far and i too think it was bc of the freeze. That is good to know that daylilys are so hardy. Im still sort of a noob on these beauties. 😋

I’m actually surprised you can grow them in your hot climate. I do see them in Vegas nurseries, but in Vegas I want to stick to desert plants. @txgardener
