So excited to post this little beauty! Just removed from flower stock and potted it in a #recycled veggie cup. Swipe to see her journey #yellowbloom 6/7/23

I'm excited to have this little keikis growing from it's flower stem. Keikis in Hawaiian is "the little one"

Yes @gjones it will. I've been growing orchids 15 + years and this is my first baby from a moth orchid.

Ummm 🤔 around 15 or so. Eight of them are moth orchids. But I've lost (🪦) more then I've owned. @gjones

Don't feel bad... I've killed a bunch over the years. They are a little more fussy then people realize. @gjones. Mine do better outside. Not as pretty since the bugs munch holes in their leaves but they love the warm and humid weather. ☺️

Are the orchids in the ground? 🌞

No they are in pencil mesh metal containers and wire baskets from the dollar store. The only orchid I had in the ground was a Philippine ground orchid. It never recovered from a cold snap we had a while back @sunlovin

Oh that’s cool about the mesh containers. I had some orchids in New York but they didn’t do well in winter they seem to need a lot of humidity and I like my house hot and dry. If I lived in the south, I would have a collection, they are beautiful. 🌞
