That's a relief, the echium that made its way home with us from Devon a couple of years ago is the colour I wanted 😍 Would love to get these outside now but still too much chance of a frost killing them off
@richard.spicer.7906 How's yours doing ?
Checked this morning and both the wildpretti and pininana have flower spikes forming, they’ve grown about a foot taller in the last 5-6 weeks 😳

Oooh both my #echium-pininana have flower buds.... I have attempted to overwinter these so many times before and always lost them, finally I will get flowers 😍😍😍
Woohoo, well done Julie 👍👍
Well done you, I’ve never managed it 👍
In the greenhouse @lisa868 I'm a bit chuffed 😉
Wow that will be a beauty 😍
That's lovely. Julie what am I doing wrong, I've had the seeds you sent in the heated propagater for 4 weeks and nothing has happened. I'm usually quite successful at growing seeds but not this time, any advice 😊
What are you growing @angiecrazycatlady
Think it was called milk thistle
Asclepias ? @angiecrazycatlady
Possibly I'm rubbish at names you sent me the seeds a while back. They are red flowers with yellow 😊
Yes asclepias (the tropical milk weed) .... If its any consolation I've only had 4 pop up and they were sown 1st March in an unheated propagator. Wondering if last year's heatwave and drought has anything to do with it @angiecrazycatlady
Oh that's made me feel better, I'll keep trying then as even if I only get one I'll be happy 😊

Cataloguing #echium-pininana Brought this back from Devon a few weeks back. Let's hope I don't lose this one. It's coming indoors as soon as frost is forecast
Here's mine @richard.spicer.7906 Think I heard a sigh of relief as I moved them outside #echium-snow-tower to the left and #echium-pininana
Wow they are big will they grow much bigger @vec
I think they both grow huge up to 5m😍 @flowerseed
So impressed with those !
