Had to repot the #ricinus today as well. I started these a bit early as I left them late last year so they didn’t get big enough to produce seed pods. I start these in small plastic glasses above a radiator. There’s a mixture of different ricinus in this lot. I’ve sowed the giant version separately. Had 1 failure out of 20 seeds so not a bad result but now running out of windowsill space around the house 🤣

I won't be short on seeds for next years garden. Lots of lovely (poisonous) pods #ricinus-communis and its a whopper, currently about 7ft tall

It appears there were some gremlins in the system yesterday as I can't see the picture I put up of my Castor oil plant so here's another one in a different part of the garden 💚

Not sure which #ricinus this is as they came from #theworldgarden visit but I'm fascinated by the growth stages. Planted these less than 2 weeks ago. As they grow the seed is split but still attached to the first set of leaves, that falls off naturally, followed by what I presume is the inside of the seed pod which is a clear paper like covering of the leaves. Judging by their growth so far, they're going to be monsters 👺 11 out of the 12 I sowed are growing
These do get tall Julie!💘😍
OMG, I thought they were infested, how amazing is that!!! 👍👍
I do hope so @ShelleySnyder 😂
Clever aren't they @pelly I couldn't get the ones I bought last year to germinate so I'm guessing they weren't fresh like these. I shall credit the lovely Tom Hart Dyke for allowing us to raid the world garden for seeds 😍
#ricinus has been dotted all around the garden this year. My favourite annual @jacaranda
That’s lovely, Julie 😍 Very architectural 😘
