Fragaria x ananassa

I always manage to get them to this point but before they are done something eats them. Maybe a raccoon or possum, any advice to keeping pests away without harming or killing them?

Set cat or dog food out in a dish for them to eat. Or at least that's what I do. I figure as long as they have food they will leave my plants alone, so far they have proven me right. @VeganHippie

@VeganHippie I have 2 Havahart ( that the brand name but there are others ) live traps. One small for squirrel and things of that size and a large one that will handle Raccoons if need be. They work pretty good. Does not harm anything. Then off they go to a new home in the woods far away.
