Make sure it's in ericaceous compost and keep moist at all times. ☺ It sets buds for next year in August and September so you need to water it consistently then. I just love camellias 😍😍😍

Fab! I saw them in Morrison’s the other day and I’m not sure I’m going to be able to stop myself... As Urszula says and also make sure it isn’t going to get early morning sun (ie don’t plant east facing) or the buds will be damaged after frosts by thawing too quickly @ublaszko

I didn't even remember the sun part because my garden doesn't get sun at all at this time of the year. 😅 @awomanonabike

😂😂 I know the feeling! My front garden gets it first thing for an hour or two but that’s all @ublaszko

You can feed it and prune it after flowering when you see the new foliage appear. Best to prune camellias while they're young to control their size. They can be pruned when mature but it takes them longer to recover.

I get morning sun in the front garden but there's only a narrow strip of soil in front of the bay window. The back garden doesn't get sun between November and March. @awomanonabike
