This plant is only dwarfed by a salvia - those horribly things. I am going to bulldoze them all soon as I can get some of the plants out of the way!

Ah! In a 1951 science fiction book by English author John Wyndham ‘The Day of the Triffid’ these plants start to take over, they grow enormous; are poisonous and begin killing people. Here we often call plants that put on extraordinary growth ‘triffids’. 😂😂

Wow, that looks very large 😳, I can see why you were giving away cutting material! - when they go dormant, do they loose their leaves or have they just closed up tightly?
@richard.spicer.7906 - they close up in tight round balls. The size of it is around 1.5m by 1m high. It does look very nice when not dormant.
