@columbiariver - this is the same plant we talked about the other day. I just discovered it’s mate in my pots. It’s leaves are soft and generally it’s not happy - pots are in premium soil and everything around it was thriving. The comparison shows it to the bottom part that has been left in my garden, had water dumped on it and it being forgotten - amazing, isn’t it!
@columbiariver - I really am not sure. The differences are as follows - top: premium store bought potting mix, planted in a big community pot. Less water. Afternoon 50% sun. Bottom: garden soil, dumpings of water as it’s planted under a rosebush and morning sun, afternoon shade.
@columbiariver - varied, bright colours, changing colours, discovering information online and new varieties to collect, nursery crawling (forget pub crawling!), fingers in soil, sitting quietly observing, excitement at growing babies and mother plants flowering, science experiments on my props and plants, documenting my processes and plants, sharing information and friendship with fellow gardeners, helping with ID’s, swapping plants, making friends - these are a few of my favourite things! ☝🏻💝
@columbiariver - thank you lovely! That’s SO nice of you to say. Enjoy your day! 😘
@KelsiBriana - about the same as this one also. They are very thin compared to most other Echeveria here.

PLANT 1: #graptoveria #graptoveria-douglashuth #douglashuth #cesarepark - 5 months later. This plant didn’t like pots, so I popped it in the garden under the roses where it gets dumpings of water and loads of morning sun.. and look at the difference..! #forgottenplant
Incredible!
Ooooooh!! That's beautiful!!💘😍
Beautiful!
@jennlamaye @ShelleySnyder @yamh081108 - thanks so much you lovely girls! @columbiariver - it was literally falling to pieces in a week of potting. I don’t think it liked the cactus mix I was using then - many plants didn’t. It’s recovered incredibly!
@columbiariver - of course not - it was a premix cacti and succulent soil from our hardware chain Bunnings. I have since changed it to premium potting mix with no grit and all my plants (some Pachyphytum excluded), are very happy!
Your welcome!! I love love love it!!💘😍
@gjones- thank you!
Happy plant makes happy gardener.🤗

Please help me identify this plant. I have two in my garden that are cuttings I received from someone. They are very nice with all the colours. 🧚🏻♂️💐💕💞
Some kind of graptoveria maybe. Hard to tell
@ham31 - It’s really interesting colouring. When I stuck them in the ground they were quite pale. This must have come up due to spending time in the sun.
Looks amazing whatever it is!!
@KelsiBriana - Bingo! I think you’re right! Thank you muchly! 😀

Those colours 😱😍😍😍
@sinsarah I got this about a year ago from Margot and planted it in the garden. I completely forgot about it. Walked past it tonight and had a big wow moment.
What a lovely surprise to find. I may need to put some of mine in my garden bed and see if I get the same colour.
@sinsarah do it, I dare you. 😁
I love a dare, I’m doing it 😬
@sinsarah yay! Tag me in your uploads. 😃
I will do ☺️
@taylork - Douglas Huth in my garden. They never get as thick leaved as your plant, nor do they have such a consistently pink colour.
@spicycactus I have been experimenting with Huthie this last year. This plant was near death when it came to me. I reached a point where I said stuff it, threw my hands in the air and planted it outside in the elements in the ground. Have a look at it's transformation.
😍😍😍 That's what I'm talking about. @natii Have you seen these? Scroll through.
Great colour! 😍 And what a difference to the previous photos! @SpicyCactus
